What is the Alpha Course?
|
The Alpha Course consists of a series of talks addressing key issues relating to the Christian faith. After each talk we divide into small groups to discuss the topic of that day, ask questions and express opinions. Alpha is a place where no question is too simple, and it also gives people a chance to get to know each other.
What A.L.P.H.A. Stands For?

A: All are welcome: curious, interested, sceptics... No prior knowledge is required
L: Laughing and Lerning go together. You can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere
P: Prayer is a spritual talk with God. We learn to pray to our Load, and He will answer to your prayer
H: Help and information is given. Basic topics are explained in seminar style and these can be discussed further in the small groups.
A: Ask any question. Of course we don't have all the answers. But we hope all the same that you come with your questions.

Alpha runs in every type of church, including Anglican, Roman Catholic, Baptist, Presbyterian, Methodist, Salvation Army, Free Church, Pentecostal, Assemblies of God and House Churches. All the churches provide the same material, making alterations only to suit local culture.
